About the Author

🌻 People often ask me how I got started writing. The truth is that I never intended to write books. It all began as a project with my Granddaughter, who was five at the time.

My career has been in I.T. since the mid-1980s, and the True Story by Granny picture books became my training wheels. Watching each book improve as I learned and grew as a writer has been both exciting and rewarding.

🙃My 1st book, I Used to be a Fairy, was never edited; it was intended to be a journaled memory, and it will remain that way.

🙂My 2nd book, The Tooth Fairy and the Baby Elf, was eventually edited.  By then, I was constantly researching, asking questions, and beginning to understand the fundamentals of writing picture books.

😍My 3rd book, I Don’t Want to go to Preschool, clearly reflects that progress. I applied everything I had learned up to that point, and it went on to become a 2022 Mom’s Choice Silver Award Winner.

I am especially proud of my fourth book, Marky the Magnificent Fairy, as it represents the culmination of everything I had learned along the way. 👏
